18 releases in 17 days
Atrium ships small and often. Every release reaches installed copies through the built-in updater, which downloads only the files that changed. These are the highlights; open a version for its full notes, straight from the app.
- Send shapes from Rhino to Atrium with one button (or Ctrl+C in Rhino, Ctrl+V in Atrium) - exact STEP geometry, no clipboard guessing
- Copy and paste between assemblies - parts, groups, edge bands and drilling come along, exactly as they looked
- Explode a sub-assembly into its parts and sub-assemblies, right where they are
- Faster heavy assemblies - one-pass group selection, far fewer full-scene redraws
- Copy and paste inside an assembly, with edge bands and processes
- Placing parts and sub-assemblies snaps to corners, midpoints, edges, control points and the origin
- One click per control point; instant preview of the entry point
- Heavy assemblies (500 parts): delete 7 s → 1 s, save 5 s → under 2 s
- Dimensions in the cross-section editor and the tool profile
- Hollow cross-sections stay hollow in the assembly
- Adjustable cut overshoot (0.5 mm by default)
- Paste from Rhino into an assembly works like dropping a STEP file
- Paste from Rhino (Ctrl+V): exact solids, blocks in place, units converted
- Rhino-style trim: only the piece between two cutters goes
- Offset with both sides and capped ends
- Copy and paste between all editors
- Plans with 200 walls stay smooth
- Cross-section and plan use the same point-input core as the assembly
- Offset (O) and Join (J) everywhere
- Start-end-radius arc
- Chamfer and round on board edges, with a preview
- Automatic profile joints: miter, butt, T, arrow + V-groove
- Gizmo anchors for profiles, boards, groups and sets
- Click the gizmo square to type two numbers ("100,50")
- Ctrl+Tab while drawing a profile picks the next control point
- Groups like SketchUp: Ctrl+G, nesting, double-click to enter
- Arrays for groups, sets and multi-selections
- Grooves and pockets drawn with the part tools; clean cuts past the edge
- Isolate and temporary hide; side arrows on boards
- Text with Windows fonts, pockets and grooves; labels and callouts
- Splines with handles; a Line button in the 0D editor
- New edge-band mode with a switch on every edge
- Plan: DXF underlay and export; projects and plans straight from Bond
- Smart orbit, smooth ViewCube, true mirror of sub-assemblies
- One core for undo, messages and number input (Persian digits, units, maths)
- A selected part takes the selection colour fully, like Rhino
- Rhino-style snaps: SmartTrack, intersection, tangent, quadrant, perpendicular, one-off snaps; polar input (500<30) and direction locks
- ViewCube, smooth zoom, better Presentation shading; "follow Windows" theme
- Assemblies: input grips, arrays, formula editor, mirror, dimensions, anchors and control points
- Processes rebuilt: click to place holes, grooves and pockets; profile end angles and offsets
- Length units per editor; friendly error dialog with "Report to Bond"
- Sets in the design tree like sub-assemblies
- Pick a category when adding from the Bond library
- The AI assistant: chat, memory, images, work in assemblies and 0D parts, design checks, materials and parts, web research
- Presentation shading with real light and shadows
- Carried processes (screw and hinge holes) linked to their host part
- Delete with Undo; category tree
- Bond's own categories always show in the category tree
- Empty categories are hidden
- Fix for the installed build failing to find its app folder
- Shape tools (rectangles, circles, arcs, polygons, slots) in assemblies and 0D parts
- Push/Pull in 0D parts
- Bond support tickets from inside Atrium
- A lighter installer with logs
- The first installable build: per-user Setup, automatic updates
- The Bond library: browse and add materials, parts and assemblies
- Boards with several thicknesses, weight and price; materials with colours and textures
- Licensing: company accounts need no licence; 30-day personal trial
