The assistant is a chat panel inside Atrium that knows how Atrium works and knows your company's catalog. It can change the document you have open, check a design for mistakes, build materials and parts, and research products on the web. Every change it makes can be undone, and saving is always up to you.

Hi! What should I do in this assembly?
Make this table 3 cm taller and add a shelf
Plan:
  1. Height input: 720 → 750
  2. An 18 mm shelf between the legs, 180 above the floor
✓ Approved
Changing the Height input…
Adding a shelf…
Done: the table is 750 tall now, with a shelf at 180.
Ctrl+Z undoes it; saving is up to you.
Check my design for mistakes
Checking with Atrium's rules…
I found 2 things:
  • Front apron runs 4 mm into the left leg.
  • Back panel is floating; it touches nothing.
Fix: make the apron 1110 long and lift the back panel 3 mm.
Ask the assistant…
Mistake check
The Atrium assistantSay what you want: the assistant shows its plan first and, once you approve, makes the change like a manual edit (undoable; saving stays with you). The mistake check finds overlapping and floating parts. The assistant works when you are signed in to Bond.

#What you need

  • A Bond sign-in with a company account. The assistant works in company mode only, not in local or shared database mode.
  • The assistant enabled on your company's server. Your company administrator turns it on in Bond.
  • An internet connection. The assistant runs through your company's Bond server. There is no offline version.

#The panel

Open the assistant with its button at the top of the window. The panel sits beside your tabs, so you can keep working while you chat.

  • One assistant that follows you. There's one conversation, but the assistant's tools change with the tab you're on: the home hub, any 3D view, the assembly editor or a part editor. "This" and "here" mean the document you were last working on.
  • Within your permissions. The assistant only does what your own account is allowed to do.
  • Chat basics. Reply to a specific message to quote it, rate answers with thumbs up or down, and see your usage under the input box. It turns orange after 80%. A long answer can take up to 11 minutes.

#What it can do

#Work in assemblies and parts

In an open assembly or part, the assistant uses the same commands as Atrium's own buttons. It can:

  • place and move parts
  • set materials
  • add inputs and write formulas
  • create sets, to make "stretch it from here" moves
  • create boxes and cylinders, and union or subtract them
  • round edges, and chamfer or round board edges
  • add holes
  • add dimensions
  • make groups and arrays
  • set profile joints

#Build materials, boards and profiles

Ask for a complete material, a 2D board or a 1D part, and the assistant fills in everything: cross-section, control points, materials, prices and more. The editor opens filled in for you to review and save. See Materials and Parts.

#Check a design for mistakes

Ask it to check your work. The check runs on Atrium's own rules, and the assistant explains what it found and how to fix it. It looks for:

  • overlapping parts
  • floating parts that touch nothing
  • sizes outside their allowed range
  • broken formulas
  • exact duplicates
  • in a 0D part: the number of solids, sketches that were never extruded, and holes that don't cut anything

#Research on the web

The assistant can run several web searches and return a table with a source link on every row, for example sizes, color ranges and prices of a product.

#Use images

Paste images with Ctrl + V or drag them in, up to 4 per message. The assistant can also look at the 3D view. An image from the chat can become a material's texture.

#Remember what matters

  • Your memory: your own habits and preferences. You can view, change or delete them from the menu.
  • Company rules: standards for everyone in the company, added with an administrator's approval.

#You stay in control

  • A plan first. Before multi-step work, the assistant shows its plan and waits for your approval.
  • Undo works. Every change the assistant makes to a document is a normal step you can undo.
  • You save. The document stays unsaved until you save it. Deleting anything asks you to confirm in the chat, and comes with an Undo.

#Example prompts

  • "Make this table 3 cm taller."
  • "Add a shelf halfway up this cabinet, in the same material as the sides."
  • "Add a Width input to this cabinet and link the top's length to it."
  • "Array these shelves every 350 mm."
  • "Check my design for mistakes."
  • "Create a frosted glass material in three colors, each with a price."
  • "Find the standard sizes and prices of soft-close drawer runners and put them in a table with sources."
  • "Remember that I prefer short answers."

#Limits

  • Online only. No sign-in, no assistant.
  • Usage credits belong to your company's workspace. If the credit runs out, the assistant stops until an administrator adds more in Bond. Your company can also set usage limits per person.
  • Where your conversation goes. Your messages, a description of what's on screen, and the data the tools return go through your company's Bond server to the AI service it uses.
